I’m amazed by the quality of service, the value of price and the longevity of products provided by people who are passionate about their trade compared to those who are just doing a job for money.
Passion creates time, it creates exceptional delivery and it creates an unerring will to always improve. But most importantly – which we often forget to easily – it’s enjoyable!! I love working with people who enjoy themselves, their energy is boundless; even when they might be struggling, they still have the energy to push through obstacles.
A great example is ‘Mike’ from OCD Racing who fixed and remodeled my good friends SV 650. I had the great pleasure to meet him just a few weeks ago. We chatted for ages about what he’s working on, how he rebuilds, and the funny comments he gets from macho motorcyclist who thinks they know everything. When he does a build or service he takes his time – not because he takes a long time to work – because he takes the time to diligently do the job well. If the job isn’t done right than he’s not happy, and his passion drives him to always deliver a complete solution.
He’s a fan of all bikes and has a soft spot for the suzuki and kawasaki’s. Yes, this sounds like a referral – totally unpaid, and not asked for. He’s a hard working bloke, awesome racer who deserves the recognition.
